How to ask for trade skill service ?
1) Ok, items to make your + 890 Helmet are in your inventory. You now just have to find someone highly skilled to build it.
First, you have to know that the main tradeskill profession in Anarchy Online is the Engineer. Others can do some trade skill processes (Nanotechnician, Trader..) but only the Engi can do the most difficult ones in the game. So, first of all, find an Engi... Using general channel or shop channel in a city can be a good idea :
"Hi there, looking for someone with 3000 in QFT and 7000 in Pharma Tech".
Or you can check your friends list, too.
2) You found an Engi, and he accepted to meet you in a safe place to make your item ! Good ! Now, be carefull : the Engi is here to BUILD, and only to build. If you put all the items mixed together in a bag, and give it to the Engi, what will he do ? The Engi will take the first item, and assemble it with the second, and then, with the third, and then...
What ? You wanted the first item into the fourth, and then the result of it into the second ? Well, tell it to the Engi before ! And if the process needs lots of items, arrange your bag, or give the items in the right order to the Engi.
Be carefull with this advice : too many people believe that Engi is a mind reader. I'm sorry, but that's not true : ( So don't blame the Engi if you have to find, again, the 50 clusters to make your implants set just because you put them all in a bag and the Engi didn't see that there was some different QL.
3)Now, the Engi has finished the process. He opens the trade window, put your item into it, and... don't press accept button. Damn ! What's happening ?
Well, it's probably because the Engi wants credits. Yes, in AO, we need credits.
So, ask the Engi before (yes, before is the key in those advices) how many credits he wants to charge you for the tradeskill process. If you think it's too much, try to hoggle over ! And if you think it's definitively too much, try to ask someone else :)
For easiest constructions, Engi probably won't ask you anything, but it's alway nice to tip someone, just to thank him.
